Students who are participating in a master’s programme at a university outside Europe or have successfully completed at least four semesters of studies within a bachelor- or diploma programme at the time of taking up the grant can apply.

Country of origin: Non-European countries

Duration: 4 – 10 months

Research scholarships are available for two categories of students:

  • Those students who are descendants of forced labourers.
  • Those students who come from countries that have exceptionally suffered from the Nazi regime, especially from the recruitment of forced labourers.

Eligible for application are students pursuing a diploma or master’s degree programme outside Austria for carrying out research work for their diploma or master’s thesis.

Research scholarships are available for two categories of students:

  • Those students who are descendants of forced labourers.
  • Those students who come from countries that have exceptionally suffered from the Nazi regime, especially from the recruitment of forced labourers.

Those eligible for application are students studying such master’s degree programmes in the field of international relations, which directly entitles the graduate to study a doctoral/PhD programme at a post-secondary educational institution.

Duration: max. 10 months (one-time extension for a maximum of another 10 months is possible in case of a successful study progress
